Capcom promises Dragon’s Dogma 2 “CPU Load” update for all platforms

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is getting another CPU optimisation update for all platforms

Capcom has announced that a new Dragon’s Dogma 2 update will “further improve CPU load” on all platforms. This update’s news has arrived almost six months after the game’s initial launch on PC and consoles.

We have tested Capcom’s prior CPU-focused updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2. These updates have had a dramatic impact on Dragon’s Dogma 2’s playability in cities and towns. Regardless, the game remains CPU-limited on all platforms, and more improvements could be made. Simply put, the game’s visuals in cities do not justify the game’s hardware demands.

Capcom has also confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive a PlayStation 5 Pro enhancement patch. Currently, it is unknown what this update will do. Huge CPU optimisations would be required to enable a 60 FPS mode on PlayStation 5 Pro. Ray tracing upgrades may also be possible on PlayStation 5 Pro, given its updated ray tracing features.

Alongside CPU enhancements, Capcom’s new game update promises reduced crashes and “additional adjustments.” Sadly, the release date of this update is unknown. However, Capcom has confirmed that “further details will be announced as soon as they are ready.”
