CD Project Red’s diving into Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.3 tomorrow

Expect CD Projekt Red to dive deep into Cyberpunk 2077’s Patch 2.3 tomorrow

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they will be “diving into” Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming 2.3 update in a live stream on July 16th. The stream starts at 5 PM CEST, which translates to 4 PM UK time (BST).

Tomorrow’s live stream will act as an overview of Update 2.3. The stream will feature appearances by PaweÅ‚ Sasko, Associate Game Director for Cyberpunk 2, and Adrien Jouannet, Lead Designer at Virtuos. This stream will detail what Update 2.3 will deliver to gamers on PC and consoles. Remember, Update 2.3 will be Cyberpunk 2077’s last major game update.

Last month, CD Projekt Red confirmed that they would “need some more time to make sure we’re happy with it,” it being update 2.3. The company also confirmed that the update would have “a similar scope to update 2.2.” Update 2.2 included bug fixes, new features, an overhauled photo mode, and technological improvements on PC.

One highly sought-after update for Cyberpunk 2077 is the addition of PlayStation 5 Pro support. Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 lacks support for Sony’s upgraded console, which means that the game runs in standard PS5 mode. If CDPR delivers PS5 Pro support, Cyberpunk 2077 could run at higher resolutions on Sony’s Pro console and (potentially) benefit from Sony’s PSSR AI upscaling solution. Note that another sought-after update would be the addition of FSR 4 support on PC, giving users of AMD RDNA 4 GPUs access to AI upscaling.

Update 2.3 is expected to be the last major update for Cyberpunk 2077. Note that while CD Project Red may release further bug-fixing updates, gamers should expect no new DLC or content updates. Following the release of update 2.3, Cyberpunk 2077’s development is effectively over.
