CD Projekt Red reveals The Witcher 4 with an “Unannounced Nvidia RTX GPU”
An “unannounced Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU” powered The Witcher 4’s first trailer
At this year’s The Game Awards, CD Projekt Red has officially revealed The Witcher 4. Sadly, we were not shown gameplay for the upcoming RPG. Instead, we received a cinematic trailer rendered on an “unannounced Nvidia Geforce RTX GPU (likely an RTX 5090).
The Witcher IV will not have Geralt of Rivia as its protagonist. This time, Ciri will be the game’s main character. Now, Ciri appears to be a full Witcher, which mans that she should have all of the powers of Geralt (and likely more). The game will be made using Unreal Engine 5. Note that the game has no firm release date/year.
The Witcher IV is an upcoming single-player open-world RPG from CD PROJEKT RED, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The beginning of a new saga, and a follow-up to one of the most acclaimed RPGs of all time, Ciri takes center stage as the protagonist, embarking on her own journey to become a professional monster slayer.
The Witcher 4 is likely several years away from release. No screenshots or gameplay videos have been released for the game. Furthermore, we also do not know which gaming platforms it will support.
Like their prior game released, CD Projekt Red appears to be working on collaboration with Nvidia when developing The Witcher 4. Both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 launched with Nvidia-optimised graphical features, and the same will likely be true for The Witcher IV.
