Civilization VII is coming to VR, and you won’t have to wait for long

Civilization VII is coming to the world of VR, but only on Meta Quest headsets

Sid Meiers Civilization VII is about to be released on PC and consoles, and Firaxis is already bringing the game to yet more platforms. Civilization VII is coming to Meta’s Quest 3 and 3S VR headsets, opening up the game to a new audience.

With its diorama-style visuals, Civilization VII is perfect for the world of VR. In VR, players will be able to interact with the world of Civilization like a hyper-detailed model train set. Sadly, VR is exclusive to the game’s Quest 3-only versions. This means that PC players and PSVR 2 owners will be left out.

Note that Civ VII will not be playable on Meta’s older Quest 2 VR headsets. This game is exclusive to Meta’s newest VR platforms.

The Meta Quest version of Civilization VII will become available in “Spring 2025.” Unfortunately, Firaxis has not revealed a final launch date for their new VR game. Note that this new version of Civilization VII will not support cross-play with players on other platforms. More information about the game is available on the Meta Quest Store.
