Control is available for free on the Epic Games Store

PC gamers can now grab a free copy of Control on the Epic Games Store

For the next 24 hours, Control, Remedy’s 3rd-person action-adventure game, will be available for free on PC through the Epic Games Store. Sadly, only the base game is available for free, though the game’s Season Pass is currently heavily discounted, costing just £3.59.

This game is free until December 26th at 4 pm GMT. Epic’s next free game will be revealed tomorrow when Control’s free period ends.

Control may be 5 years old, but it remains a graphical showcase to this day. The game makes stellar use of ray tracing on PC and is well worth playing if you are a fan of Metroidvania-style games. Even without ray tracing, the game is gorgeous on PC. Even without its visuals, the game is fun to play, and well worth trying out.

Now that the game is free, there is no reason not to give this game a try.
