Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About time is coming to PC, Switch and next-gen consoles this year
On PC, Crash 4 will arrive through Blizzard's Battle.Net launcher, coming as an exclusive to the platform. This move will allow Activision to retain all of the profits generated from the game's PC version. Activision likely has no plans to release an AAA game on Steam anytime in the foreseeable future.
On PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will operate at higher resolutions, offer faster loading times and run with smooth 60 FPS framerates. On PS5 and Xbox Series X the game will operate at a 4K resolution, with Xbox Series S supporting an upscaled 4K resolution. On PC the game will feature an uncapped framerate and various supported resolutions.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a sequel to the Crash Bandicoot N'Sane Trilogy, offering gamers a new single-player story with additional gameplay mechanics, modern visuals and a large number of quality of life improvements.
At this time the PC version of Crash Bandicoot 4 has no firm release date, though the game is likely to arrive after Blizzard releases its new Battle.net launcher, which is designed to accommodate larger games libraries.
Owners of the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Crash Bandicoot 4 will be entitled to free next-generation upgrades for the game should they own a PS5 or Xbox Series console.
