Crazy – Cinder City recommends 64GB of RAM on its Steam page
64GB? In this economy? Cinder City’s PC system requirements call for a crazy amount of RAM
Update: Big Fire Games has sent us a correction notice confirming that their 64GB RAM recommendation was a mistake. Now, the game’s Steam page lists 32GB as the game’s recommended memory specification. Below is the clarification that was sent to us this morning.
Hello, This is the CINDER CITY team.
We identified an error in the memory specification listed under the system requirements on our Steam Store page. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The information has now been updated to the correct specification (Recommended: 32 GB RAM).
※Please note that the current system requirements are based on our current development build. As optimization continues, the final system requirements at launch may be lower than those currently listed. We will provide updated and more accurate system requirements closer to release.※
We remain committed to providing accurate information. Thank you for your understanding.

(Our original article follows)
Big Fire Games and the publisher NC have listed Cinder City on Steam, unveiling its PC system requirements, confirming an insane 64GB memory recommendation. The game is a 3rd-person RPG shooter set in a near-future, dystopian version of Seoul devastated by mutants. Players take control of “Cinder Knights”, super soldiers who are humanity’s last hope. Players will take control of “Seven”, a Cinder Knight that stands at the center of the game’s story.
To our knowledge, Cinder City is the first PC game to recommend 64GB of system memory on Steam. For context, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X both feature 16GB of total system memory. Cinder recommends having more memory than a PS5, Xbox Series X, PS5 Pro, and Switch 2 combined, and that doesn’t include GPU memory…
GPU requirements are reasonable, though the game’s CPU and memory recommendations are nuts
Cinder’s minimum and recommended GPUs are low-end: an Nvidia RTX 2060 (6GB) and an RTX 4060 (8GB), respectively. However, the game’s recommended AMD CPU and memory configurations are absurd. This game recommends AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D gaming CPU, and 64GB of system memory. While this game’s minimum CPUs are much lower-end, recommending a Ryzen 7 7800X3D feels excessive. Additionally, asking gamers to install 64GB of RAM right now is certifiably insane. Have Big Fire Games seen how much RAM costs right now?
