Creative Assembly reveals Total War: Three Kingdoms' first major DLC
The Three Kingdoms period is over, China is unified, but the Jin Dynasty is a heartbeat away from civil war. Many within the dynasty desire total dominion, but only one of the nation's many princes can take the imperial crown.
This is the setting of Total War: Three Kingdom's first major DLC, the Eight Princes. This DLC chapter takes place 100 years after the events of Three Kingdoms, an era with new technologies, factions and politics. Within this DLC, players can assume the role of one of three Princes, each of which has unique abilities, units and playstyles.
Eight Princes will contain new campaign mechanics, changes to public order and adjustments to how faction ranks are attained. Faction development can now be focused on four new alignments, Wealth, Spirit, Might and Mind. New technologies have also been developed since the events of Three Kingdoms, with armoured cataphracts making their debut appearance within Total War: Three Kingdoms.
Total War: Three Kingdoms - Eight Princes is due to release on August 8th for £6.99 on Steam, with pre-orders of the DLC costing £6.29, representing a 10% discount.

Does look interesting though. If they can expand the map that would probably tip the scales for me into buying it as I feel like the map is artificially reduced.Quote
