Crysis Remastered could release on August 21st – According to Sony

In Sony’s latest PlayStation Access video, which has now been set to Private on YouTube, the company announced that Crysis Remastered would release on PlayStation 4 on August 21st.

At the time of writing, Crytek has not revealed the release date of Crysis Remastered for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though the company has recently stated that “The wait is almost over” in a recent tweet.

If Sony’s video is correct, it is likely that Crysis Remastered will release on PC and Xbox One on the same date, making this Friday Crysis Day. Crysis Remastered will release with major graphical upgrades over the game;’s original releases, including new graphical features, API-agnostic raytracing on PC and higher-quality assets and textures.

If Crytek plans to release Crysis Remastered this week, fans of the series should expect the game to be very soon. It is possible that Sony released their latest PlayStation Access video early, though it is also plausible that they revealed the wrong release date. Crytek is expected to clarify the matter in the near future through their social media channels.
