Crysis Remastered is coming soon to Steam

Crytek has revealed that Crysis Remastered will soon be released on Steam, revealing that the game will have a 20% discount at launch and a deeper discount for owners of Crysis' original PC version on Steam. This discount will apply for one week after the game's Steam release

Owners of Crysis on Steam will be able to purchase Crysis Remastered with a 30% discount. Those who purchase the game during week 1 will receive a 50% discount on Steam if they already own Crysis on the platform.

While Crytek has not revealed Crysis Remastered's release date on Steam, the game will likely launch on September 18th. September 18th will be the one-year anniversary of Crysis Remastered's PC launch on the Epic Games Store.

Since the game's initial launch on the Epic Games Store, Crysis Remastered has been updated to include additional (previously cut) content, performance improvements and new features like Nvidia DLSS.

Currently, Crysis Remastered is available for £13.99 (50% off) on the Epic Games Store. This offer will be available until August 30th. Assuming that the Steam version of Crysis will have a standard price of £27,99 (the same as the Epic Games Store), Crytek's promised discounted pricing on Steam will not be any better than the game's current Epic Games Store pricing.

Below is Crysis Remastered's Steam launch trailer.

Bit disappointed in the PC versions, Some of the texture mods from the likes of Rygel from 11 years ago for Crysis 1 and MaldoHD+BlackfireHD for Crysis 2 from 8 years ago still look better in most places than the textures of the remasters on PC.

Nothing but a cash grab playing on peoples nostalgia.Quote

Due to the success of other remasters, everyone is trying to get in on the nostalgia train. And I am getting a little tired of it.

Already been disappointed by a few of them.

I now see that Need for Speed underground 2 may be remastered but I feel that it just wont be the same as it used to be.Quote
