Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t getting a PS5 Pro update
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they have no plans to give Cyberpunk 2077 a PlayStation 5 Pro update
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they have no plans to give Cyberpunk 2077 a PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro) patch. This means that PS5 Pro owners will not be able to benefit from the full capabilities of Sony’s latest console when playing the RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most graphically impressive games of this generation. The game looks great on current-generation consoles and even better on high-end gaming PCs. Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro, with its stronger GPU, PSSR AI upscaling support, and enhanced ray tracing capabilities, can greatly increase the graphical fidelity of CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG. However, CD Projekt Red has already moved its development resources to new projects, such as their next “The Witcher” game.
It should be noted that while Cyberpunk 2077’s development has ended, CD Projekt Red is not done with the game. Last month, Apple confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Mac. That means that some development effort is still being focused on the RPG. However, it’s unknown if the game’s Mac version is being developed internally by CD Projekt Red or externally.
We currently have no plans for PS5 Pro patch

Honestly, Cyberpunk 2077 would benefit more from a PS5 Pro update than from a Mac version. After all, most PS5 Pro owners would love to see how the game would look and play on Sony’s newest hardware. While Mac support opens the game up to a new market, gamers don’t buy Macs. My guess that that Cyberpunk 2077’s Mac version is being made thanks to a lot of Apple funding. Honestly, I don’t think a Mac port would be commercially viable without a huge handout from Apple.
