Dawn of War 1 and 2 receive free Anniversary Edition upgrades

Now is a great time to be a gamer and a Warhammer 40K fan

There’s no denying it; now is a great time to be a gamer that’s into Warhammer 40,000. Space Marine 2 was a massive hit, and now, Dawn of War fans are getting some love. Both Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2 have received free Anniversary Edition upgrades. Existing owners of both games have received this upgrade for free, and newcomers to the series will receive the most complete versions of these games to date.

Both Anniversary Editions include all base game content alongside all of their DLC. For those who owned the base games, you have just received a lot of free DLC. For newcomers, you can now buy all of each game’s content from one place. Better still, these Anniversary Editions have launched on Steam with 80% discounts.

Dawn of War Anniversary Edition now includes the base game and its three expansions. These are Soulstorm, Winter Assault, and Dark Crusade. For Dawn of War 2 Anniversary Edition, all of the game’s DLC is included. This includes the game’s Retribution and Chaos Rising DLCs.

If you are a fan of classic RTS games and the Warhammer 40K franchise, both games are excellent pickups. Note that both games play very differently, but both games are great in their own ways. Honestly, I would love to see a Dawn of War 4, but only if it doesn’t follow in the footsteps of Dawn of War III…
