Dawn of War Definitive Edition launches with “Mostly Positive” reviews on Steam
Dawn of War Definitive Edition has arrived, and it is a great deal for returning fans
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition is now available on PC, and the game’s reviews are “Mostly Positive”. With an asking price of £23.99, this game is a bargain given its wealth of content. Four full campaigns, nine playable factions, improved visuals, stronger modding support, and more. Better still, the game has a 10% discount for the next two weeks, and owners of the original Dawn of War will get a 30% discount. That makes the game £14.39 right now for Dawn of War veterans.
While some call this remaster “barebones”, it does a great job bringing all of Dawn of War’s content into one place. Furthermore, the game’s visual improvements are welcome. Textures are 4x more detailed. 64-bit support will enable more advanced mods. The game’s upgraded models and lighting also make the game look a lot less dated. Furthermore, the game now works well with widescreen displays. Improved pathfinding will also make the game much more enjoyable.
Relic Entertainment has confirmed that it plans to update and hotfix its Dawn of War Definitive Edition to address bugs and deliver additional improvements. Sadly, Relic has no plans to add new content to Dawn of War. However, future updates should make the game run better on modern PC hardware.
