Dawn of War IV’s new In-Engine trailer is stunning
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV welcomes PC gamers “Back to War”
Deep Silver and KING Art games have released a stunning new in-engine trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. This trailer was captured using footage that’s “entirely from in-engine gameplay”, which means that this trailer should give gamers a good idea of what Dawn of War IV will look like.
The game takes place many years after the events of Dawn of War’s Dark Crusade expansion on the planet Kronus. The game sees forces of Space Marines and the Adeptus Mechanicus battle against hordes of Orks, only to then be attacked by an overwhelming force of Necrons.
When the game launches in 2026, Dawn of War IV will feature four playable factions. This includes Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. This is the first game in the series to feature the Adeptus Mechanicus as a playable faction.
Dawn of War IV features over 70 campaign missions that are playable in both single-player and co-op modes. The game will also feature story mode, a “last stand” mode and multiplayer. Multiplayer will feature 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 modes.
Here’s your official look into the next evolution of the iconic real-time strategy franchise with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV!
First revealed during PC Gaming Show: Tokyo Direct, this new trailer has been captured entirely from in-engine gameplay.
Many years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, Kronus burns as Space Marines of the Blood Ravens Chapter and their Adeptus Mechanicus allies clash with brutal Ork hordes. With victory almost certain, a new threat emerges: the Necrons. As this new faction overwhelms the battlefield, the Imperium must rebuild and grow their forces if they hope to stand a chance.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of the series or brand new to the world of Dawn of War, this new trailer, captured entirely in-engine, provides a more detailed look at what to expect with exciting gameplay, action-packed cinematics, and a taste of the war-torn future that awaits. At last, back to war!
Dawn of War IV aims to deliver “classic Dawn of War gameplay”, taking inspiration from the first game in the series. Now, 20 years later, the series is coming back with Primaris Space Marines, modern visuals, and incredible animations.
