Days Gone is getting a free “Remastered” visual update on PC
Alongside the game’s upcoming “Broken Road” update, the PC version of Days Gone will be receiving a free update that will deliver improved visuals to the game.
Days Gone’s “Broken Road” DLC will give PC game access to the content of the game’s “Remastered” PS5 version. This includes the game’s Horde Assault mode, Permadeath mode, Speedrun mode, and Enhanced Photo mode.
The PC version’s free update will give the game DualSense controller support, new accessibility features, and several graphical improvements. These include improvements to the game world, more accurate lighting, improved screenspace lighting and ambient occlusion, and doubled shadowmap resolution options.

We have some exciting news to share with our committed PC players as we approach the upcoming launch of the Broken Road DLC. We’ve been closely monitoring your feedback, and we want to ensure you have the best experience playing Days Gone.
All players who have the base Days Gone game installed will receive the following features and updates**:
- DualSense haptic feedback support***
- Accessibility features
- World graphical improvements
- New Atmospheric/Sky simulation using ozone and spectral light simulation
- Improves overall color tone and produces more accurate light intensities for the sky and sunlight
- Significantly darker night time
- Improved screen space indirect lighting and ambient occlusion effects
- Double shadowmap resolution when Shadow Quality is set to Highest

Horde Assault – A survival arcade mode

Days Gone Remastered and the game’s “Broken Road” DLC are launching on April 25th. On PC, the game will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
On PC, Days Gone is getting a full visual overhaul. This will make the game look better than ever on PC. This also confirms that the game’s PS5 version isn’t just running the PS4 original with PC’s graphical settings. There more to this remaster than that!
