Hideo Kojima reveals Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards

At The Game Awards, Hideo Kojima confirmed that Death Stranding 2 (Working Title) is in the works, and that the game will see the return of  Sam Porter Bridges and Fragile, who will continue to be portrayed by Norman Reedus and Lea Seydoux.

Death Stranding 2 has recieved the longest game trailer of The Game Awards (at least at the time of writing), and it is filled with a lot of ambiguity, confusion, and well known actors; standard Kojima stuff really.

At the end of the trailer, it is confirmed that  Elle Fanning, Shiolo Kutsuna, and Troy Baker will be part of the game. At The Game Awards, Kojima stated that he has written a story for Death Stranding’s sequel before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but he had re-wrote it more recently as “I didn’t want to predict any more futures, so I rewrote it,” he joked.

Death Stranding has been revealed as a PlayStation 5 title, but given the fact that the original game is already available on both PlayStation and PC, it is likely that its sequel will also. PC gamers will likely just need to wait a little longer for the game to release on their platform.

At The Game Awards, Kojima also hinted at another project that he is working on, a game that is said to be more experimental than his prior titles.
