Kojima's newest game will soon arrive on PC Game Pass
It's official, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding will be coming to Microsoft's PC Game Pass subscription service on August 23rd. For Microsoft, this is a big deal, as Death Stranding was a former PlayStation exclusive game, a game that was published by PlayStation themselves in 2019 and later arrived on PC though 505 Games.
While Windows 10/11 gamers will get to enjoy Death Stranding using PC Game Pass, Xbox players will not be getting the same treatment on Xbox Game Pass. Death Stranding has not been announced for Xbox, and it is likely that the game never will be. There are currently no plans to bring Death Stranding to Xbox, but that has not stopped Microsoft from bringing the game into their Game Pass ecosystem.
Hideo Kojima is currently working with Xbox Game Studios on a new game. The game is a new IP that is a "never-before-seen concept" that is said to utilise Microsoft's loud technology. At this time, Kijima's Xbox Game Studios game has no release date or name. All we know is that this game will not be available on PlayStation.
Death Stranding is a open-world action game where players play as a courier, Sam Porter Bridges, in a world that has been affected by catastrophe of an apocalyptic nature. The game stars high-level actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner, and offers gamers a gameplay experience like nothing else. With otherworldly creatures plaguing the landscape, and with a mass extinction event seeming imminent, it’s up to Sam Porter Bridges to travel across the ravaged wasteland and save humanity from their impending annihilation.
It worth noting that while Death Stranding is coming to PC Game Pass, the version of the game that is coming to Game Pass is not the game's more recent "Directors Cut" version. On PC Game Pass, gamers will be receiving Death Stranding's original PC version, which features less content than the game's newer Directors Cut version.
