Devil May Cry's upcoming PC version will be free on Twitch Prime later this month

We already know that Capcom plans to re-release the Devil May Cry Trilogy on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 13th, bringing the first two games in the franchise to the PC for the first time.

This bundle will release as the Devil May Cry HD collection, despite the fact that Devil May Cry 4 is not included in this package. All games are set to run at 60FPS and support modern gamepads, though at this time it is unknown whether or not the games will include additional graphical boosts aside from an increase in resolution.

Twitch Prime Subscribers will be given an opportunity to try out the first game in this collection early, with the original Devil May Cry game becoming a free Twitch Prime bonus on February 27th through their Twitch Desktop app. This offer gives PC gamers the chance to play the first game in this remaster early, without paying a single penny, aside from your Twitch Prime/Amazon Prime subscription.

Devil May Cry HD Collection is just a month away from its release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One… but we want to kick this party off a little early. Here’s how you can get in on it:

Starting on February 27, we’re letting you play the very first Devil May Cry for free! This limited-time offer will get you the PC version of the game through the Twitch Desktop App, where you’ll also be able to purchase the full collection. Visit Twitch.tv on the 27th, log in to your Twitch Prime account and claim the original Devil May Cry for free. There’s even a free trial you can sign up for at twitchprime.com.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is already available to purchase on Steam, but sadly this version of the game lacks decent keyboard/mouse control options and offers some lacklustre gamepad support, making this version of the game very difficult to play when compared to its more modern counterparts. Hopefully, this HD re-release will fix the issues that are present in the game's original PC version, as well as add some visual enhancements for modern systems.

In the US the Devil May Cry HD collection is set to cost $29.99 in the US. No UK or EU price has been announced at this time. Capcom is also rumoured to be working on Devil May Cry 5, though this has not been officially confirmed by the publisher.
