DIRT 5’s PC system requirements have been updated with higher AMD Ryzen/Radeon recommendations

Alongside this update, Codemasters has also edited the PC system requirements of DIRT 5, upping the game’s recommended system requirements on AMD-powered systems. Strangely, the game’s Intel and Nvidia system requirements are unchanged; only the game’s recommended system requirements on Radeon hardware have been altered. 

Instead of recommending AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600X, Codemastersnow recommends AMD’s Ryzen 5 newer 3600 processor. On the graphics side, Codemasters has also changed its Radeon RX Vega 64 recommendations to AMD’s RDNA-powered RX 5700 XT. Both of these updated hardware recommendations are significantly faster than the hardware they replace in gaming applications, as both utilise newer Ryzen/Radeon CPU/Graphics architectures.

Now, AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 XT is recommended alongside an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Ti, which is a strange pairing given the fact that AMD’s RX 5700 XT often competes with Nvidia’s RTX 2070 in modern gaming titles.
