Dragon Age: The Veilguard receives detail PC system requirement
Is your PC ready for Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming to PC and consoles on October 31st, and EA has just released detailed PC system requirements for the new RPG. EA has confirmed that this game will be a “native” Steam app on Steam, which requires no EA Play login. Furthermore, Bioware has confirmed that the game will be Steam Deck Verified on day-1 and doesn’t use Denuvo.
On day 1, Dragon Age: The Vielguard will support DLSS 3 (with Frame Generation), a “heavily modified” version of AMD FSR 2.2, and Intel XeSS. That’s a lot of upscaling options. However, the game lacks AMD FSR Frame Generation support, which is disappointing.
Additionally, Bioware has confirmed that The Veilguard supports ultra-wide monitors, supports an uncapped framerate, and features HDR support. Furthermore, the game will support ray tracing through ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion. An additional “Ultra Ray Tracing” mode will also be available.
Below are detailed PC system requirements for Dragon Age The Vielguard. Note that Bioware’s average performance estimates include the use of “optional upscaling”.
In this game, Bioware has added a “Selective RT” option that only enables ray tracing in areas that “best take advantage of the feature.” This is a strange addition to the game, as it will likely make the game’s performance profile a mess without dynamic resolution scaling. We will test this option when the game launches later this month.
