Dune Awakening receives PC character creator and benchmark tool
Is your PC ready for Dune Awakening? You can try out the game’s benchmarking tool on Steam
Funcom has officially confirmed that Dune Awakening will be coming to PC in May. Starting now, PC gamers can see if their systems are ready using the game’s new character creator and benchmark tool.
This tool is now available to download on Steam. Characters can be imported to the full game when it is released on May 20th. Using the benchmark, PC gamers will be able to find the optimal graphical settings for their systems ahead of the game’s launch.
Rise from survival to greatness and challenge the power of an Imperium in Dune: Awakening, a multiplayer survival game on a massive scale. Survive the sandworm, craft your ornithopter, build a fortress, and ascend to power on an open world Arrakis shared with hundreds of other players.
The benchmarking tool takes gamers through a player-built base, a Harkonnen player hub, and the deserts of Arrakis. Even a mighty sandworm makes an appearance during each benchmark run. Below, we can see Dune Awakening’s benchmark in action (thanks Dicehunter for the tip).
Dune Awakening is a multiplayer survival game and was voted as PC Gamer’s “Most Wanted” game of 2024. The hype around the game is huge, largely thanks to the success of the Dune movies.
Funcom has confirmed that Dune Awakening will cost $49.99/â¬49.99 on Steam when it is released. Note that this is for the base game. Furthermore, those who pre-order the game will get the “Terrarium of MuadâDib”, a detailed in-base decoration which houses our favourite desert mouse as he goes about his life.
