Epic Games will continue giving away free PC games throughout 2025

The Epic Games Store’s free game promotions will not end in 2025

As part of their “2024 Year In Review”, the Epic Games Store (EGS) has committed to giving away free games in 2025 across mobile and PC. This means that PC gamers can continue getting free games through the EGS every week, and that’s great news for PC gamers.

Last year, the Epic Games Store gave away 89 games. Combined, these games have a value of $2,229 (US). Nearly 595 million games were claimed in total across PC and mobile. On average, these free games have a review score of 76%.

Right now, EGS is giving away free copies of F1 Manager 2024. After that, Garden Story and World War Z Aftermath will become free on the storefront.

Lastly, our Free Games Program has continued to deliver PC favorites to new audiences for the 5th year running. Epic players stocked their libraries with over $2,000 USD worth of great PC titles across 89 giveaways. The program is not slowing down and will continue in 2025, on both PC and mobile.

Epic Games

The Epic Games Store has become an excellent resource for PC gamers. This is especially true for PC gaming newcomers. Their free games alone can be used to quickly build up a library of great titles. Note that this library will include AAA games and independently developed games. For developers, these promotions deliver games to new audiences and provide a lot of funding to studios. If a game is being given away on the Epic Games Store, Epic Games is paying that developer to do so.
