Escape from Tarkov is coming to Steam with version 1.0

Escape from Tarkov is coming to Steam

Escape from Tarkov will be hitting version 1.0 on November 15th. Until now, the game has been available exclusively through Battlestate Games’ launcher. With the release of version 1.0, Escape from Tarkov will be coming to Steam for the first time.

Steam is the world’s largest PC gaming storefront. That fact alone should greatly increase Escape from Tarkov’s reach. Nikita Buyanov, Battlestate Games’ studio head, has confirmed that Escape from Tarkov’s Steam page will be available soon.

Currently, it is unclear if Battlestate Games plans to allow existing Escape from Tarkov owners to transfer their game and profiles to the game’s Steam version. We expect to hear more about the game’s Steam version and its functionality at a later date.

Steam is by far the most popular PC game launcher, so much so that some PC games refuse to purchase games anywhere else. Escape from Tarkov has a strong playerbase, and that playerbase is set to explode following the launch of version 1.0. The game’s launch on Steam will be a huge part of this push, and it will be interesting to see how popular the game will be on the platform.
