F1 25 is speeding onto PC and consoles on May 30th – Is your PC ready?
EA Sports F1 25 is coming to PC in May
It’s official: F1 25 will be available for PCs and consoles on May 30th. It will be the first game in the series to be exclusive to current-generation platforms, allowing it to take full advantage of modern PC and console hardware.
This means that F1 25’s PC hardware requirements are much higher than those of prior games in the series, especially on the GPU side. Furthermore, the game will support VR platforms on day 1, including Meta Quest 2/3, Oculus Rift S, HTC Cosmos, HTC Vive PRO, Valve Index, and HP Reverb G2.
With F1 25 comes My Team 2.0, a new version of the game’s Team Management Sim, and Braking Point 3, a new story mode for F1 fans. Codemasters plans to release a full F1 25 deep dive in April to discuss all gameplay enhancements over F1 24.
F1 25 PC System Requirements
GPU-wise, F1 25’s PC system requirements are identical to those of its predecessor. Nvidia’s GTX 1060 is the game’s minimum supported graphics card, and AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT is recommended. If you want to use VR or ray tracing in F1 25, you will need much higher-end GPU hardware.
CPU-wide, F1 25 calls for an Intel i5-6400 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 as its minimum CPU. That said, AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600X and Intel’s i5-9600K are recommended. F1 25’s minimum CPU requirements are much higher than F1 24, which listed an AMD FX 4300 and Intel i3 2130 as the game’s minimum CPUs. Clearly, F1 25 is more CPU-heavy than its predecessors.

Should PC gamers get F1 25 Standard Edition or Iconic Edition
On PC, F1 25 will be available through Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store. The game will be available in two forms. First, there is the F1 25 Standard Edition. Next, there is the “Iconic Edition”, which comes with additional content. The Iconic Edition will launch with three days of early access, the Lewis Hamilton Iconic Pack, and more. Iconic Edition players will be able to play F1 25 from May 27th.
