Fallout London is the mod that we didn't know we wanted

It may not be official, but it's the Fallout 4 DLC that we have been yearning for

Fallout London is the best reveal of E3 2021

Fallout London is the mod that we didn't know we wanted

Being the racing game fans we are, Forza Horizon 5 may be our favourite official E3 2021 game reveal. Still, if we were to look outside E3's official events and showcases, you would find some modding gold that the usual E3 madness has hidden.

Fallout: London may not be an official game from Bethesda Softworks, but it has the trappings of what could be an interesting Fallout game, even if franchise staples like Vault-Tec being missing from the mod. There will be no Super Mutants, Deathclaws or other species that were developed through forced mutation. This is London, and it's nothing like the US.

This DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 offers gamers a new look into the Fallout universe, introducing new factions, new weapons and a unique cultural outlook to this post-apocalyptic world. Here's what Fallout London's developers have to say about the game on their website

Fallout: London is an ambitious, trail-blazing DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4, Bethesda Game Studios’ 2015 post-apocalyptic RPG. Fallout: London stands apart from its contemporaries and offers an entirely new experience: setting a Fallout game outside of the United States. True to its moniker, Fallout: London takes place IN London. From stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries (and more!), Fallout: London embodies the history and aesthetics of London and puts an unmistakably nuclear spin on the beloved city.

Fallout: London’s development is labor-intensive and involves a plethora of eclectic cross-discipline individuals, both at amateur and industry level. The team maintains a strong sense of professionalism and devotion to the craft. Everyone on the Fallout: London team shares a deep love of videogames, and most importantly, Fallout itself. Each member of the Fallout: London team is individually recruited for their contributions and talent in the realms of game design and modding.

The trailer below looks into London's factions, locations and environments. We can see Buckingham Palace and Big Ben on display and factions that include London Gangsters and crusader knights. Fallout London offers a new look at the Fallout universe, one that isn't American in nature.

Right now, Fallout London doesn't have a release date, and the team behind the mod are interested in taking on new contributors. Don't expect this mod to be released anytime soon.

A Fallout 4 London MOD for free. Fantastic I say. Better then playing Fallout 76 with a forced so called premium monthly subscription of about $100 per year. What is Bethesda thinking or smoking? First you buy the game from them and then you pay monthly to play?Quote
