Far Cry 5’s graphical options menu has been revealed
PC Gamer has gotten the opportunity to look at a recent build of the game, allowing them to have a quick look at the game’s graphical options menu, revealing a large number of settings to tinker with, allowing PC gamers to adjust the title to their liking.Â
For starters, the game offers support for high resolutions such as 4K, and the game can be forced to play on any screen in a multi-monitor setup, offering options between fullscreen, windowed and fullscreen windowed modes, as well as the ability to set your display’s maximum refresh rate in-game. This initial menu only showcases the basics of what Far Cry 5 has to offer on PC.Â

 Â
Moving to Quality options, we can see nine total options aside from the game’s graphical quality presets. Alongside this, we have a collection of images which will detail exactly what will change within the game graphically with each setting, which will allow PC gamers to better prioritise what graphical options to keep high and which graphical options to lower.Â
In this title, a VRAM meter is also present, allowing PC gamers to quickly judge whether or not your GPU has enough VRAM to play the game at specific settings. In this version of the game, only SMAA and TAA are available under the Anti-Aliasing banner, as well as a basic off option. SMAA can be used with dual GPU setups in this build.Â

Moving into the game’s colour options, we can see that Far Cry 5 has options to adjust contrast, Gamma and brightness, while also allowing users to play the game in colourblind mode. At this time it is unknown how many colourblind options are available.Â
For most gamers, these settings do not need to be adjusted, especially if you have a well-calibrated display, though it is neat to see these option in-game.Â
In the game’s final menu we have advanced settings, allowing PC gamers to turn V-Sync on and off, enable a framerate lock (which is variable) and a FOV slider, which is set at 90 by default in this build of Far Cry 5.
PC users also have the option to set a resolution scale within the game. This option allows players to scale down the game’s resolution while maintaining a native pixel count, allowing gamers to do the console trick of running at a non-native resolution, though in this case the game’s internal resolution can be set higher than native to have a supersampling effect that reduced aliasing. Â
