Far Cry 6 will be available to play for free between August 4th and August 7th
Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 6 will be available to play for free on all platforms between August 4th and August 7th, during which time the game will also be available with a 60% discount across various storefronts.
During this free weekend, gamers will also be able to access the game's main campaign and the game's fight with Danny Trejo, go Rambo style, and Stranger Things event content.
In Far Cry 6, gamers play as Dani Rojas; a Yaran who becomes a guerrilla fighter in order to liberate his nation from Anton Castillo, the country's dictator. Like other recent Far Cry games, player can use a variety of weapons, animal companions and vehicles to fight against the Yaran military regime.
Far Cry 6's free weekend is available to gamers on all platforms, and Ubisoft has confirmed that PlayStation players will not need PlayStation Plus to access the game, though Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One users will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to participate in Far Cry 6's free weekend.
