Final Fantasy XV’s PC system requirements have been revealed on the Windows 10 Store

In early 2018 Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition is set to arrive on PC and today some early system requirements have arrived on the Windows 10 Store, which seems to indicate that even older Windows-powered gaming systems should be able to run this game with relative ease, even systems with older AMD FX-series CPUs.

The PC version of Final Fantasy XV is said to be the definitive version of the Final Fantasy XV, releasing with the most advanced visuals and audio that the game’s Luminous Engine is capable of thanks to the integration of Nvidia GameWorks technology and Dolby Atmos support.

Final Fantasy XV will contain Nvidia Ansel support as well as Nvidia TurfEffects, HairWorks, Nvidia Flow, Nvidia HFTS Shadows and Nvidia VXAO Ambient Occlusion. This gives Final Fantasy XV the most comprehensive Nvidia GameWorks support that we have ever seen in a game, which is either exciting or disappointing depending on your opinions of Nvidia GameWorks.

Below are Final Fantasy XV’s PC system requirements, though please note that these are subject to change before the game’s official release.

On the game’s recommended PC system requirements, a GTX 1060 6GB is recommended, as is 16GB of system memory, requirements that are becoming increasingly common for modern AAA releases.

The game is said to be using DirectX 11, which is a shame given the potential performance benefits of DirectX 12, though this does not rule out the possibility of a DX12 version entirely.

Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition will be releasing on Windows 10, Steam and Origin in early 2018.
