Final Gears of War E-Day PC requirements target 60 FPS at all levels

Even with its minimum PC system requirements, Gears of War: E-Day targets 60 FPS

Finalised PC system requirements for Gears of War: E-Day have been released by The Coalition and Xbox Games Studios. The game launches on October 6th on PC and Xbox, with Premium Edition buyers getting 5 days of Advanced Access.

E-Day was built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, making the game the most graphically advanced Gears series game to date. Notably, this game’s minimum and recommended GPUs are all DirectX 12 Ultimate graphics cards, suggesting it uses the baseline features of DirectX 12 Ultimate. The Coalition has confirmed that the game will not run on graphics cards that lack support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

Even for the game’s minimum PC system requirements, Gears of War: E-Day targets 60 FPS. Beyond that, the game’s minimum PC system requirements use Medium settings, not low. This suggests the game may run on lower-end PC hardware, including PC gaming handhelds. The game includes a built-in benchmarking tool, so gamers can optimise their settings before playing.

E-Day doesn’t have overly high CPU requirements. The game’s minimum CPUs are AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel’s i7-6850K, and Intel’s i5-10400. All of these CPUs are older 6-core CPUs. The game also requires a minimum of 12GB of system memory and a DirectX 12 Ultimate GPU with at least 6GB of GPU memory. Note that this game requires 130GB of storage.

This game’s recommended GPUs are Nvidia’s RTX 5060, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, AMD’s RX 6700 XT, AMD’s RX 9060 XT, and Intel’s ARC B580. 16GB of system memory is also recommended. SSD storage is also listed as a requirement.
