Forza Motorsport’s bringing the franchise to the next generation

The Forza franchise is now fifteen years old, and with the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has an opportunity to revitalise the series with an updated engine, next-generation hardware and ray tracing.

Forza Motorsport, a new entry in the Forza series, will release on Xbox Series X and Windows 10 PCs, supporting a “dynamic world” at 4K 60 FPS. With this game, Microsoft has confirmed that ray tracing is coming to the ForzaTech engine, allowing Turn 10 Studios to take the series’ visuals to a new level.

At this time, Forza Motorsport has no release date, which means that the game will not be a launch title for Microsoft’s upcoming console.

Forza Horizon 4 – For Xbox Series X

Microsoft has also confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 will be updated to support Xbox Series X with 4K 60 FPS framerates, higher fidelity graphics, “dramatically improved load times” and more. At this time it is unknown how this new version of Forza Horizon 4 will compare to today’s PC version.

Microsoft has promised to reveal more about both of these Forza titles in the coming months.
