Gears of War Reloaded has been revealed for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation
Gears of War: Reloaded is coming to PC and consoles on August 26th
Microsoft has officially revealed Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of Gears of War that will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 this summer. The game will launch on August 26th and be available for $39.99.
At launch, the game will support cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms. Furthermore, Xbox owners of GOW: Ultimate Edition will be upgraded to GOW: Reloaded for free. Note that this free upgrade is only available for the game’s digital version.
This new version of Gears of War will support 4K resolutions, 4K assets, enhanced visuals, HDR support, and improved anti-aliasing. The game also promises “Zero Loading Screens” during the game’s campaign. On consoles, the game boasts 60 FPS framerates in the game’s campaign, and 120 FPS framerates in multiplayer.
On PC, Reloaded will be available on Steam, through PC Game Pass, and “Xbox PC.” Co-op will be available in the game’s campaign, and 8-player online multiplayer will be available.
Microsoft has revealed no plans to release additional “Reloaded” versions of other Gears titles. Could this be the start of a GOW “Reloaded Trilogy?” More information about GOW: Reloaded is available from Microsoft.
