Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut now supports AMD Anti-Lag 2 on PC

Low-Latency Samurai – AMD’s Anti-Lag 2 tech has arrived in Ghost of Tsushuma

Nixxes have released Patch 7 for the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. This update adds support for AMD’s Anti-Lag 2 technology to the game. Anti-Lag 2 is AMD’s answer to Nvidia’s latency reducing Reflex technology. Like Reflex, Anti-Lag 2 lowers the click-to-response latency of supported games to make games more responsive. Back in June, Nixxes added support for AMD FSR 3.1 to five of their latest PlayStation PC releases. This included Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Spider-Man Remasters, and Spider-Man Miles Morales.

For users of AMD GPUs, this new feature will make Ghost of Tsushima feel a lot better to play on PC. Button presses will result in faster on-screen action, making it easier for players to time their attacks, counters, and dodges. Additionally, AMD’s Anti-Lag 2 Latency Monitor is now available in in-game.

This update includes game-integration for AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2. This input-lag minimizing feature is available on AMD Radeon RX 5000 graphics cards and newer, with AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.6.1 or newer drivers. When Anti-Lag 2 is enabled in the game, you can press Alt+Shift+L to enable the Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Latency Monitor.

Alongside Anti-Lag 2 support, Patch 7 also resolves an issue that prevents certain achievements from unlocking for some gamers. Additionally, a fix for “unintended light bloom” effects has been added for users of AMD Radeon GPUs. Matchmaking improvements have also been implemented to Ghost of Tsushima’s online Legends mode.
