GOG adds “one-click mods” to its PC gaming platform
GOG brings game preservation to the next level by preserving legendary mods
Mods are an essential part of the PC gaming experience. They allow gamers to experience their favourite games in new ways. From fan-made updates to full game conversions, mods are one of the best aspects of PC gaming. Now, GOG are embracing this with their “One-Click mods” program.
With One-Click Mods, GOG is making mod management easy. With their curated collection of premium (but still free) mods, GOG plans to help PC gamers avoid file finding, installation errors and compatibility problems. GOG has everything pre-packed, pre-tested, and ready to go.
At launch, this new program features four legendary PC game mods, and later this year, Skyblivion will be coming to the platform. Right now, the following mods are available.
– Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss
– DOOM 3: Phobos
– Vampire: The Masquerade â Bloodlines: Unofficial Patch
– Fallout: London One-click Edition
Mods are an essential part of video games preservation, allowing you to relive your favorite stories in countless possible ways. Mods management, however – is not for everyone. Digging into game files, installing requirements, restarting the game thousands of times, making it crash every time… But no more. With GOG One-click Mods, newly introduced seamless mod integration on GOG, you can freely browse, install, and play, faster and easier than ever!
GOG One-click Mods is a curated selection of premium mods, available on GOG and directly packed with the game for the smoothest installation.
From bug fixes, restored cut scenes, quests and characters, to completely freshly-made new content – we teamed-up with these community-driven projects creators to offer you this list of handpicked Mods. Combining our strengths, these are now accessible right away, already installed within the base game for the smoothest experience!

Over time, more mods will be added to the “One Click Mods” program. All mods will be validated as safe to use, ensuring a great gaming experience. Furthermore, GOG has confirmed that paid modding content will not be coming to the platform. All mods will be free.
