GOG Galaxy 2.0 has gained official Epic Games Store support
Today, GOG has announced that it has teamed up with Epic Games to deliver “official integration” for the Epic Games Store. Through this partnership, GOG and Epic Games are allowing GOG Galaxy to work more seamlessly and reliably with Epic Games Store titles, which is great news for those who want one launcher to rule them all.  Â
Epic Games has become the first PC gaming platform to offer official GOG Galaxy support, unlike competitors like Steam, Origin and Uplay. Recently, GOG Galaxy has added support for subscriptions to GOG Galaxy, allowing PC gamers to see their gaming subscriptions using the client and browse, install and launch games using the GOG Galaxy 2.0 client.Â
Below is what Epic Games’Â Steve Allison, the General Manager of the Epic Games Store, had to say about the partnership.Â
Weâre excited that Epic Games Store integration has come to GOG GALAXY 2.0.  Itâs an important step towards breaking down walls between PC stores, as it enables a unified experience for players to manage their PC games library independent of where their games were purchased.
