GTA IV is returning to Steam next month without multiplayer

That’s right, Nico Bellic is returning to Steam after the game’s short absence from gaming storefronts. Why was Nico MIA? The short answer is Game for Windows Live, and the long answer is Grand Theft Auto: Complete Edition. 

On March 19th, Grand Theft Auto iv will return to Steam without its multiplayer component. Grand Theft Auto VI and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be merged into a single game called Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition and Games For Windows Live has been removed from the game. 

When the game re-releases on Steam, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City’s RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM radio stations will be missing from the game, but Rockstar has confirmed that these stations are only “temporarily unavailable”. 

Owners of Grand Theft Auto IV, or Episodes from Liberty City, on Steam will see their games replaced with Grand Theft Auto VI: Complete Edition within their game libraries. Owners of physical copies will be able to activate their games using the codes in their manuals. Those who own the game through games for Windows Live will need to link their accounts to their Rockstar Social Club accounts to upgrade to Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition. 

Grand theft Auto: Complete Edition will be available on March 19th, 2020.
