GTA Online is getting a free PC upgrade in 2025

GTA Online’s “Next-Gen” console upgrades are finally coming to PC

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that the GTA Online PC version will finally receive the game’s “Next-gen” console upgrades. Until now, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Grand Theft Auto Online have had exclusive graphical features, which annoyed the GTA Online’s large PC playerbase.

In the “new year”, GTA Online will receive the game’s “much-requested PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S features.” These features should include ray tracing, HDR options, higher texture quality, and other upgrades. Hopefully, this upgrade will add modern upscaling options to the game, such as XeSS, DLSS, and FSR.

Additionally, Rockstar has confirmed that they have “recently implemented an additional anti-cheat system” for GTA Online. This should ensure that the game is not plagued by cheaters, at least for now.

Currently, it is unknown exactly when this free graphics upgrade will come to Grand Theft Auto Online. PC gamers have been waiting for this upgrade since early 2022, so a little more waiting won’t hurt. Even so, it is irritating that these features have taken so long to be announced for PC.
