Halo Campaign Evolved to feature all-new story missions
Halo Campaign Evolved is getting new content that the original lacked
It will be a while before gamers see an all-new Halo game. That said, a remake of the first Halo game is coming, featuring new missions/content for gamers to enjoy. With Halo Campaign Evolved, gamers will be able to play three new story missions that expand the original game. Additionally, the game will feature up to 4-player online co-op.
According to a report from Rebs Gaming, these three missions will serve as prequels. These missions are set ahead of Halo 1’s main campaign. These missions will contain a lot of content that longtime Halo fans will appreciate. This includes Master Chief fighting alongside Sergeant Johnson, the ODST/Spartan rivalry, and a battle against a new sect of Covenant. In these missions, Brutes will be enemies, a first for Halo 1. Furthermore, there is reportedly an homage to Halo: Reach.
Controversially, Halo: Campaign Evolved will reportedly use some of the same game assets as Halo Infinite. This means that many enemies will look like their modern counterparts rather than how they appeared in the first Halo game. This factor has led many to question how faithful this remake is to the original version of Halo: Combat Evolved. That said, I’m sure many gamers will appreciate a more consistent look for modern Halo games.
Halo: Campaign Evolved still lacks a release date. The game is expected to be released this year. If that is the case, we can expect to hear more about the game soon.
Adding new missions/content will make Halo: Campaign Evolved more interesting to newcomers and series veterans alike. After all, Halo fans will likely have played Halo 1 and its remaster several times already. New content will draw in series veterans, and newcomers will appreciate the extra content.
