Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary teaser hints at an imminent PC release
February saw Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary go through several weeks of beta testing on PC, resolving some of the game’s outstanding issues while testing updates to the game’s crouch and movement systems for the PC platform. Players of this beta were found to be happy with the changes.Â
The video uses audio from the opening cutscene of Halo: Combat Evolved, where the Master Chief is awakened after the Pillar of Autumn escaped Reach.Â
If Halo: Combat Evolved Aniversary wasn’t coming to PC soon, why would Microsoft release this teaser? Combine this with the recently leaked achievement list for the game’s PC version, and we have a lot of evidence that the game’s PC release is imminent.Â
The release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC will be staggered, as Microsoft plans to release each game in the series in chronological order. Each game release with match up with each game’s location within the Halo timeline, making Halo 2: Anniversary Microsoft’s next planned PC Halo release. Â
We expect Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to release on PC on early-mid March.Â
