Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer will be free-to-play confirms Microsoft

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be free-to-play on Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series X, further confirming that the game will “support 120FPS on Xbox Series X”.

This move will make Microsoft’s premier multiplayer shooter accessible to the company’s entire userbase, and help normalise 120Hz refresh rates on Xbox Series X.

Microsoft has confirmed that they will share more about Halo Infinite’s multiplayer at a later date, though prior leaks have suggested that the game will feature a Battle Pass system and customisation options which have never been seen before on a Halo title.

At this time, it is unknown what game modes will be available as part of Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer, though it is expected to cover classic modes like Regicide, Domination, Extraction, Grifball and Flood.
