Halo Studios teases a major series reveal at HaloWC 2025

Expect to hear what’s next for the Halo franchise this October

Halo Studios told gamers that we should expect the company to be “continuing the conversation” that they started at last year’s HaloWC event. That means that we should expect to hear about the future of the Halo franchise this October.

Last year, 343 Industries officially changed its name to Halo Studios. The company also confirmed that it had moved its game development efforts to Unreal Engine 5. At that time, Halo Studios confirmed that they were working on multiple new Halo projects. This makes it likely that one of these projects may be officially showcased at HaloWC 2025.

Last year at HaloWC, we premiered “A New Dawn” where we talked about the switch to Unreal Engine, gave you a behind the scenes look at Project Foundry, and debuted our evolution to Halo Studios as we enter a new chapter for Halo. For us, “A New Dawn” was just the beginning – at this year’s HaloWC, we look forward to continuing the conversation.

Speculation is always fun, but if you want the official scoop on what Halo Studios has been working on, you won’t want to miss this year’s Halo World Championship. We really hope you’ll join us in Seattle this October!

Rumour has it that Halo Studios is working on an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the first Halo game. This project would build up Halo Studio’s Unreal Engine 5 expertise with a familiar game concept that’s guaranteed to be popular amongst Halo fans. It’s also a project that can help focus the studio on Halo’s core gameplay ahead of any future Halo game launches. Note that there are also rumours that the Halo franchise is coming to PlayStation consoles.

We can expect to hear more about the future of Halo at HaloWC 2025. The event will be hosted this October.
