Here are the first 15 minutes of Skyblivion
The TESRenewal team is getting all of the little details right with The Elder Scrolls Skyblivion
Rebelzize, the lead developer of TESRenewal’s The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion project, has released a new 15-minute video showcasing the game’s first 15 minutes. This highlights the game’s tutorial and many of the game’s new and updated systems.
For the uninitiated, Skyblivion is a fan-made remake of The Elder Scrolls Oblivion within the engine of Skyrim. Currently, the mod is due to be released this year. To play this mod, players need a copy of The Elder Scrolls Oblivion GOTY Deluxe (all DLC) and The Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition. If you own both of these games, you will be able to play Skyblivion at launch.
Today’s video highlights this remake’s graphical upgrades, UI, and quality of life improvements. One major upgrade comes in the form of Skyblivion’s new lockpicking system. The game’s new lockpicking system is a mix of Oblivion’s original system and what is available in The Elder Scrolls Online. In many ways, this remake delivers much more than Bethesda’s official Oblivion Remaster, delivering much larger reworks and upgrades to many core systems.
Skyblivion is still due to launch later this year. That said, the mod still lacks a firm release date. Hopefully, the mod will be available this year as planned. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this mod’s release is pushed to early 2025.
