Here's what you need to run Call of Duty: Black Ops' Beta on PC

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War's beta is due to become available on PlayStation 4 this week, opening to those who have pre-ordered the game on October 8th and as an Open Beta on October 10th. This beta will run until October 12th. 

Next week, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War's beta will become available to players outside of Sony's PlayStation platform, with Early Access coming to pre-orderers on October 15th on PC and October 16th on Xbox One. Between October 17th and 19th, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will be available in as an Open Beta. On PlayStation 4, this second beta weekend will be an open beta from October 15th to October 19th. 

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War's beta released will include a wide range of maps, game modes and playlists. Additionally, the beta will include a full progression system and customisable loadouts which include weapons, equipment, Create-a-Class slots, and Scorestreaks.

Those who reach level 10 during this beta will receive free access to an SMG Weapon Blueprint when Black Ops Cold War launches. 

On PC, the Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War beta will utilise Microsoft's DirectX 12 API, utilise 45GB of storage and require a system with a capable quad-core processor, at least 8GB of system memory and a GPU that's stronger than a Geforce GTX 670 or a Radeon HD 7950.

Activision recommended that PC players of Black Ops Cold War use systems with 16GB of system memory, a strong quad-core processor like an i7-4770K or better and GPUs that are equivalent to or better than Nvidia's GTX 970 or GTX 1660 Super and AMD's Radeon R9 390 or RX 580. 

Below are Black Ops Cold War's full PC beta system requirements. 

Minimum:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit (1803 or later)
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalent.
Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950.
RAM: 8GB RAM
HDD: 45GB HD space
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Audio: DirectX compatible, requires DirectX 12 compatible system

Recommended:

OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest Service Pack)
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent
Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 Super 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580
RAM: 16GB RAM
HDD: 45GB HD space
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Audio: DirectX compatible, requires DirectX 12 compatible system

I uninstalled some 3 games the other day, Ark, Division 1 and another I cannot remember which is was, but I got back nearly 450Gb mostly from Ark and the mods but still it was a nice chunk back.


Maybe now I can install Modern Warfare and not worry about using every last drop of space on my 1Tb drive.Quote

I did that two days ago. Feels kinda relieving

I wonder if Cold War needs MW to be installed in order to access the Warzone content :X This is THE time for Blizzard to give us the option to install only parts of the games...
