Sony’s Horizon: Forbidden West is coming to PC on Match 21st, arriving on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Today, Nixxes has released their official PC system requirements for their game, revealing the hardware that gamers will need to play Aloy’s latest adventure.
At launch, Forbidden West will support DLSS 3, FSR, and XeSS, giving it support for the temporal upscaling solutions of all major GPU brands. The game requires SSD storage to run optimally, and requires 150GB of free storage space to install.
Like most modern PC games, Forbidden West has a 16GB memory requirement. Thankfully, having 16GB of memory (or more) has been commonplace for gaming PCs for many years.
On PC, Horizon: Forbidden West will have a large number of graphical options. There will be settings for textures, level of detail, shadows, water, terrain, field of view, motion blur, film grain and more. Toggles for options like radial blur, lens flares, bloom, and vignette will also be available to suit the tastes of players.

Below are the PC system requirements of Horizon: Forbidden West’s PC version. For 1080p 60 FPS gameplay an Nvidia RTX 3060 or AMD RX 5700 graphics card is recommended. For 1440p, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD’s Radeon RX 6800 are recommended. At 4K, gamers should use GPUs like an Nvidia’s RTX 4080’s or AMD RX 7900 XT. These hardware recommendations are for native resolution gameplay. This means that upscalers like FSR and DLSS can effectively lower Forbidden West’s hardware demands.

On PC, Forbidden West will launch in the form of the game’s “Complete Edition”. This version of the game will include all of title’s base game content and the game’s Burning Shores expansion.
