Here’s what you need to run Saints Row: The Third Remastered on PC

Saints Row: The Third Remastered now available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, recreating the classic for modern gaming systems with a slew of graphical upgrades. 

What’s new in Saints Row: The Third Remastered? or starters, this new version of Saints Row: The Third will release with all 30 of the original games’ DLC items, offering gamers the complete experience, while also offering gamers higher fidelity visuals than the game’s original PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions. 

This Saints Row remaster comes thanks to the developers at Spearsoft, who have “transformed Steelport’s environments” by bringing a new lighting system to the game, enhanced character models, higher-end graphical effects and more. Based on the trailer, we can see higher resolution textures, increased draw distances and other graphical enhancements. 

Like the original, Co-op will be a major element of Saints Row: The Third’s remaster, and on PC, Deep Silver has confirmed that the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Right now, the game is available to pre-order on PC for £34.99.
 
With this game, PC users will need to have an AMD FX-6000 or Intel i5-3000 processor or newer, at least 8GB of system memory and a Radeon RX 500 or Geforce GTX 660 graphics card or newer. That game will operate using DirectX 11, and is designed to support Windows 10 exclusively, though the game will likely work on Windows 7 or newer systems. 

Deep Silver, the publisher of the game, recommends PCs with 16GB of system memory, Nvidia GTX 1000 or Radeon 5700 graphics cards or better and AMD FX-8000 or Intel i5-4000 or newer processors. The lack of specific hardware recommendations is concerning, and the need for RX 5700 series graphics hardware for “1080p on high settings” is concerning.
