Here’s what you need to run Skull and Bones on PC

Ubisoft has released detailed PC system requirements for Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones is coming to PC on February 16th 2024, and Ubisoft have now revealed a detailed set of system requirements for the game. On PC, the game will support ray tracing, temporal upscaling in the form of AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS, HDR support and a suite of other features.

Like most modern PC games, S&B’s PC system requirements specify that gamers need SSD based storage. This makes sense, as the game is only releasing on consoles that feature SSD storage solutions.

Ubisoft has also confirmed that the PC version of Skull and Bones will feature an uncapped framerate, ultra-wide and multi-monitor support, and feature an in-game benchmarking tool. Sadly, Ubisoft has not specified if the game will support AMD or Nvidia’s DLSS or FSR 3 Frame Generation technologies.

Below are Skull and Bones’ the official PC system requirements. These system requirements specify the hardware that Ubisoft expects PC gamers to use for 1080p 30 FPS, 1080p 60 FPS, 1440p 60 FPS, and 4K 60 FPS.

By today’s standards, these PC system requirements are not overly high. However it is worth noting that this game’s 4K requirements are with DLSS/FSR set to Balanced. We will also note that it is nice to see that Ubisoft specifies Dual-channel memory. Many newcomers to PC gaming use single-channel memory and aim to upgrade to dual-channel later. This has major performance downsides, so it is good to see Ubisoft stress the importance of dual-channel memory setups.

Right now, gamers can sign up for Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones closed beta. This beta will run between December 15th and 18th on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. During the beta, gamers will be able to play Skull and Bones for 6 hours. This time limit will only count when you are in a gaming session. However, idling in menus during gameplay will count towards your total time played.

On PC, Skull and Bones will be available through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
