Hogwarts Legacy's latest trailer focuses on the Dark Arts

Gamers will be allowed to embrace the Dark Arts in Hogwarts Legacy

At Gamescom 2022, Warner Bros. Games and Avalance Studios released a new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy, a trailer which focuses on a specific side-quest within the single-player wizarding RPG.

In Hogwarts Legacy, students will be able to befriend a Slytherin student called Sebastian Sallow, a character that has a questline that will allow players to learn dark magic. Players can see forbidden spells in action and learn some of them as they learn more about the Sallow family mystery.

This trailer also confirms that pre-orders of Hogwarts Legacy's Deluxe Edition will receive three days of early access to the game, the game's "Dark Arts Pack", a Onyx Hippogriff mount, and a Dark Arts garrison hat. Below is what Avalanche Studio's description for their newest Hogwarts Legacy trailer.

Should you choose to befriend Slytherin student Sebastian Sallow, you will be faced with the decision to embrace or reject the Dark Arts as you uncover his family’s mystery through his companion quest line.

Will you choose to learn this dark magic?

Focusing on one of Hogwarts Legacy’s optional companion quest lines with Sebastian Sallow, the Dark Legacy trailer provides a glimpse at the forbidden curses and difficult dilemmas players will face as they learn more about the Sallow family’s mystery and decide whether to engage with, or even embrace, the dark arts.

Hogwarts Legacy is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on February 10th 2023, with early access purchasers receiving the game on February 7th.
