Horizon: Forbidden West receives its first major PC update

Patch 1.0.43.0 has been released for Horizon: Forbidden West, adding several fixes to the game while adding support for Nvidia’s DLSS 3 Frame Generation technology during cutscenes.

With this update, gamers experiencing crashes and instability should see improvements, and HDR users will have a fully functional “HDR Max Luminance” slider.

Nixxes has confirmed that they are currently working on new bug fixes and optimisation for Horizon Forbidden West’s PC version. These changes will come with future game updates.

Before today’s update, Nvidia’s DLSS Frame Generation technology did not work during cutscenes, or when UI screens were being displayed. This could cause framerates to decrease during cutscenes due to DLSS Frame Generation being disabled. Now, DLSS Frame Generation is enabled during gameplay and during cutscenes. This should make framerates more consistent for RTX 40 series GPU users.

Below are the release notes for Horizon Forbidden West patch 1.0.43.0.
