Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is coming to PC and PS5 next month
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be a $9.99 upgrade for existing owners
On October 31st, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be released on PC and PlayStation 5. This remaster improves the original with enhanced visuals, re-recorded audio, and other technological improvements. In essence, it brings the original game in line with its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. The Remaster was created by Nixxes and will be available as a $9.99 upgrade for existing owners of the game.
At launch, this game will have native support for Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro. It will also support Sony’s PlayStation 5 Tempest Audio technology and Sony’s DualSense controller. On PC, the game will include Trophy support through the PlayStation overlay and feature DLSS 3 and FSR 3.1 with Frame Generation.
While it is arguable that this 2017 title doesn’t need a Remaster, it is clear that Sony’s Remaster strategy has been working for their PlayStation 5 console. Recent years have already seen Sony release PlayStation 5 Remasters of both The Last of Us, and The Last of Us Part II. There have also been PlayStation 5 releases of their PS4-era Uncharted games.
If you want to play or replay Horizon Zero Dawn, the new remastered version should give gamers the best visual and audio experience. Old save games will work with this new remastered release. This makes New Game + mode available to anyone who has previously finished the game. Furthermore, the Remaster will also feature all the accessibility features available in Forbidden West. This includes remappable controls, haptic cues, and various assist options.
