Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is now Steam Deck Verified
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered officially becomes Steam Deck Verified
Valve has officially certified Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered as being Steam Deck verified, confirming that the game can run well on their PC gaming handheld.
This certification contrasts with Horizon: Forbidden West, which is “Unsupported” by Valve’s Steam Deck handheld. Even at its lowest settings, Forbidden West won’t run well on Valve’s Steam Deck. As such, it cannot be given verified status.
Nixxes created Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered to give Zero Dawn the same levels of graphical fidelity as its sequel. Despite this, the game runs well on Valve’s Steam Deck handheld. Players can configure the game to achieve stable 30 FPS framerates in most areas of the game. Thanks to this certification, Deck owners can rest assured that they can play Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on their handhelds.
For the most part, Sony’s recent PlayStation PC releases have become Steam Deck Verified. Horizon: Forbidden West is the only major exception. Note that while Ghost of Tsushima isn’t Steam Deck verified, the full singleplayer game runs on Steam Deck without issue. Only Legends mode doesn’t run on Valve’s Steam Deck. Even PS5 titles like God of War Ragnarok and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart run well on Valve’s handheld.
