Is your PC ready for the Battlefield 6 Open Beta?
Here’s what you need to run Battlefield 6 on PC
EA has released the PC system requirements for its Battlefield 6 Open Beta, which is due to start later this month. This means that PC gamers can now see if their systems are ready for battle or in need of an upgrade.
Initially, Battlefield 6’s beta will be invite-only, with the beta starting on August 7th/8th. This beta will be opened up to everyone on August 9th/10th. The beta will have a second weekend between August 14th and 17th, giving gamers another opportunity to try out the game ahead of launch.
While the game’s minimum requirements are on the low side, it is worth noting that this is for 1080p 30 FPS gameplay. While Battlefield 6 will be playable at 30 FPS, that low framerate would not be ideal for a fast-paced multiplayer FPS. Simply put, there’s a reason why 60+ FPS is recommended.
Battlefield 6’s recommended GPUs include AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, and Intel’s ARC B580. All of these GPUs are solid options, being calable ot 1080p 80+ FPS or 1440p 60 FPS. Below are the game’s full PC system requirements.
Note that Battlefield 6 will work best when Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is enabled. Furthermore, the game requires Secure Boot to be enabled for security reasons.
